Video Transcript:

It's 2:30 in the morning, and you think you're having an emergency, we really want you to call us and tell us what's going on. We'll talk you through whether you need to get here now, make an appointment tomorrow or make an appointment with your regular vet in a few days. That's what we're here for. We don't mind. We want to hear from you.

We are always ready for folks to walk in, but it's best to call first. First of all, your pet may not really be having an emergency, and we give free advice on the phone.

If you do have an emergency, what to expect when you ring the doorbell is someone will triage your pet, that means take a look and see if we need to take them back to the treatment area right away or can you go in an exam room to see the doctor first.

Then once the doctor's done the evaluation, we'll give you an estimate of what needs to be done. We'll either hospitalize or discharge your pet based on the doctor recommendations.

24 Hour Emergency Vet Services

If your pet has a medical emergency during your primary care veterinarian's regular office hours, we recommend first contacting him or her for a professional recommendation. If your veterinarian is not available, or requires a critical care facility, we recommend you immediately bring your pet to our emergency 24 hour animal hospital for treatment.

If you think your pet may be sick or injured and you're not sure exactly what to do, please call our 24 hour vet care line at (859) 625-5678. When you call, one of our experienced emergency vet care team members can help assess the situation and determine whether your pet needs to be seen by our emergency team.
