Educational Background: Dr. Holbert got her undergrad degree at Clemson University in South Carolina. She proudly holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the prestigious University of California, Davis, graduating in 2023.
Professional Journey: Dr. Holbert's journey into veterinary care took an interesting turn when she initially held an EMT license, contemplating a career in human medicine. However, her unwavering dedication to animal welfare redirected her path. Starting her first job out of college at Advanced marked the initiation of a fulfilling career dedicated to the well-being of our furry companions.
Certifications and Areas of Expertise: We are pleased to share that Dr. Holbert is Fear Free certified, embodying her commitment to creating stress-free experiences for our patients. Her professional interests include emergencies and neurology, with a particular emphasis on advanced imaging techniques, ensuring your pets receive the best possible care.
Life Beyond the Clinic: Beyond the clinic walls, Dr. Holbert shares her life with her partner, an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky specializing in agricultural and biological systems engineering. Their home is further enriched by the presence of three delightful feline companions – Marvin, Moose, and Maple, each with a unique and heartwarming story of resilience and care.
Leisure Pursuits: Outside of her veterinary duties, Dr. Holbert finds joy in exploring local thrift stores and vintage curated spaces. She also loves local hikes.
